Standalone Document Management System
Any oscFile job file can be
turned into a standalone document management system with a couple quick steps,
and you don't need to know anything about databases. Simply select Create
Generic Access DB from the Select a Database option on the
Database tab to link your job file to a generic MS Access database that will
store your index information. Next choose Insert New Records from the
Database Mode tab. Now this job is configured to add records to a
searchable document database when you scan.
To search the database,
simply change the Database Mode to Retrieve and View Records and
save the job with a different filename. Now you can use the first job file when
scanning and the second when searching!
